About the Journal
Annals of Rejuvenation Science publishes original research, reviews, and short communications in the fields of biology, genetics, and interventions in aging and longevity. Interdisciplinary work combining cell biology, genomics, regenerative medicine, computational biology, and translational approaches is strongly encouraged.
Manuscript Types
Journal Section: Theoretical Frameworks
This section is dedicated to pioneering theoretical work that establishes new paradigms in rejuvenation science. We solicit manuscripts that propose novel hypotheses, develop advanced mathematical models, or offer comprehensive syntheses of existing data to generate falsifiable predictions. Submissions should demonstrate rigorous logic, foundational depth, and the potential to redirect empirical research. Reviews of a truly transformative nature, which critically re-evaluate core assumptions in the field, are also welcome.
Journal Section: In Silico Experimentation & The xTween Construct
This section prioritizes research employing the xTween construct—a high-fidelity virtual twin model designed to generate specific, testable predictions (predicates) regarding processes relevant to biological rejuvenation. An xTween transcends simple simulation by integrating multi-omics data, dynamical systems, and known interaction networks to produce emergent, non-trivial outcomes.
Editorial Priority is given to manuscripts where the core hypothesis and its exploration are fundamentally driven by computational xTween models. Studies based primarily on conceptual models generated by the human brain, without rigorous computational instantiation and exploration, are considered less competitive for this section. Submissions must detail the xTween's architecture, input parameters, validation benchmarks, and the precise predicates yielded for real-world testing.
Journal Section: Empirical Investigations & Continuous Validation
This section is reserved for reporting tangible experimental results in rejuvenation science. A mandatory requirement for submission is the provision of continuously recorded, 24/7 experimental data supporting the central findings. We operate on a principle of "more data, higher credibility."
Submissions must be accompanied by accessible, timestamped raw data streams capturing the experimental process. The likelihood of publication scales positively with:
- The duration and continuity of data recording.
- The diversity of measurement types (e.g., multi-omics, physiological, behavioral, imaging).
- The plurality of recording devices and methodologies providing orthogonal validation.
Manuscripts that merely present snapshot endpoints or aggregated data without comprehensive, auditable temporal logs will be desk-rejected. Protocols for independent data stream verification must be clearly outlined.

Open Access Charges
The Annals of Rejuvenation Science is a fully Diamond/Platinum Open Access journal. All published articles are made immediately and permanently available worldwide, free of charge for anyone to read, download, copy, distribute, and reuse, in accordance with the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license.
Article Processing Charges (APCs)
There are no charges for submission, peer review, or standard publication.
To support the extensive infrastructure required for our unique editorial standards—particularly the ingestion, validation, and public hosting of massive, continuous 24/7 datasets for the Empirical Investigations section—the journal applies a Data Processing and Curation Fee (DPCF).
-
Standard Article Publication: Free of charge (APC: $0).
-
Articles in the "Empirical Investigations" section: Subject to a DPCF of $1,200 USD upon formal acceptance, prior to typesetting and final publication. This fee is mandatory for all articles in this section and covers the critical costs of dataset verification, long-term archival storage, and maintaining public access to complex, time-series data.
-
Waivers: Full waivers for the DPCF are automatically granted to authors from institutions classified as low-income economies by the World Bank and upon request for authors demonstrating genuine financial hardship.
Funding Model
The journal's core editorial operations, web hosting, and archiving are supported by an unrestricted grant from Longevity Clinic. The DPCF is applied solely to offset the exceptional technical costs associated with our commitment to radical data transparency and continuous validation in experimental research. Our rigorous peer review and editorial independence remain completely separate from any financial considerations.
