About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The Annals of Rejuvenation Science is an elite, peer-reviewed digital journal dedicated to pioneering work that redefines the scientific pursuit of biological age reversal. We serve as the definitive forum for research that transcends incremental discovery, demanding instead paradigm-shifting theoretical rigor, computationally-native hypothesis generation, and empirical validation of unprecedented transparency. Our tripartite structure is designed to accelerate the field from conjecture to validated intervention:
-
Theoretical Frameworks: Foundational models and syntheses that propose new mechanistic understandings of aging and rejuvenation.
-
In Silico Experimentation & The xTwin Construct: The premier venue for research where predictive xTwin virtual twins, not human intuition alone, generate the critical testable predicates.
-
Empirical Investigations & Continuous Validation: The exclusive platform for experimental results supported by mandatory, verifiable, continuous 24/7 data logs.
Open Access Policy
The Annals of Rejuvenation Science is a platinum open access journal. All published content is immediately and permanently freely available to read, download, copy, distribute, and reuse without cost to the reader or author, in accordance with the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license. This model is sustained by the journal's sponsoring institution, ensuring no article processing charges (APCs), submission fees, or any other author-facing payments. We believe radical scientific transparency and accessibility are prerequisites for progress in rejuvenation science.
Copyright Notice
Upon submission, authors affirm the work is original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Authors retain copyright of their published work. By agreeing to publish, authors grant the journal an exclusive license to publish and distribute the article in its final form. All articles are published under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license, which permits non-commercial sharing with appropriate attribution, but prohibits commercial use and the creation of derivative works without express permission.
Sponsorship & Disclosure
The journal is published by Longevity Platform, a non-profit academic imprint of the Sulkalmakhy. Primary operational funding is provided by an endowment from FIAR. The journal accepts no advertising. All editorial decisions are made independently of the sponsor. Section Editors and reviewers are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest for each manuscript handled.
Journal History
Founded in 2025, the Annals of Rejuvenation Science emerged from the "Continuous Data & xTwin Symposium" to address a critical gap: the disconnect between theoretical longevity models, computational prediction, and replicable experimental biology. It was established to enforce a new standard of integrative, data-obsessed, and computationally-grounded science. The journal transitioned to the OJS/PKP platform at inception to leverage its robust infrastructure for managing our rigorous, multi-stage submission and review workflow.
Peer Review Process
We employ a rigorous, triple-anonymized peer review process. Manuscripts are first screened by the Editor-in-Chief and relevant Section Editor for scope and adherence to foundational requirements (e.g., data policy for Empirical Investigations). Suitable manuscripts are then reviewed by at least two, typically three, external experts in the specific methodological domain (theoretical, computational, or experimental). The process prioritizes reviewers with a proven record of critical analysis. The unique requirements of the In Silico and Empirical sections often involve review by experts in data science, code audit, and sensor validation. Final decisions rest with the Section Editor in consultation with the Editor-in-Chief.
Privacy Statement
The names, email addresses, and affiliations entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party. User data is managed in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws. Our full privacy policy, detailing data collection, use, and retention, is available on a dedicated page.
Archival Policy (LOCKSS/CLOCKSS)
To ensure the permanent availability and preservation of our digital scholarly record, the Annals of Rejuvenation Science is archived in both the CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) and Portico digital preservation services. These globally distributed, dark archive systems guarantee that the journal's content remains accessible to future scholars, regardless of future changes in technology or publishing platforms. This is a core component of our commitment to the long-term integrity of scientific discourse in rejuvenation science.
Indexing & Repository Policy
The journal is submitted for indexing in major relevant databases. Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit the final published PDF (Version of Record) or their accepted manuscript in institutional or subject repositories (e.g., arXiv, bioRxiv) upon publication, provided proper attribution and a link to the final article on the journal's website are included. Pre-print deposition is encouraged and does not constitute prior publication.
