Longevity Horizon is committed to open, responsible, and globally accessible scientific communication. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). This license permits non-commercial reading, sharing, and downloading of the material, provided appropriate credit is given and no modifications or derivative works are created.

The journal does not levy article processing charges for student authors.
Publication fees for all student submissions are fully supported by the Ilia Vekua Young Scientists Club, which ensures equitable access to publication and fosters the development of early-career researchers.

Konstantin Chichinadze Prize

The journal supports scholarly excellence through the Konstantin Chichinadze Prize, awarded annually for outstanding contributions to biomedical, clinical, and interdisciplinary research. The Prize recognizes research that demonstrates originality, methodological rigor, and significant scientific impact.

In addition, the Ilia Vekua Young Scientists Club awards First, Second, and Third Prizes annually to the best student research articles published in the journal. These awards reinforce the commitment to nurturing young investigators and maintaining high academic standards.

The journal maintains full editorial independence and adheres to international norms of transparency, publishing ethics, and peer-review rigor consistent with the standards of Nature Portfolio, Springer Nature, Elsevier, and other leading academic publishers.


About the Journal

Longevity Horizon publishes original research, reviews, and short communications in the fields of biology, genetics, and interventions in aging and longevity. Interdisciplinary work combining cell biology, genomics, regenerative medicine, computational biology, and translational approaches is strongly encouraged.

Manuscript Preparation

Format Requirements

  • Submit manuscripts as Microsoft Word (.docx) files.

  • Double-spaced, 1-inch margins, continuous line numbering.

  • Arial, 11-point font for all main text.

Manuscript Structure

  • Title Page:

    • Title (concise, informative)

    • Full author names and institutional affiliations

    • Corresponding author contact information

  • Abstract (≤180 words):
    State the aims, methods, key results, and primary conclusions.

  • Keywords: 3–6

  • Main Sections:

Figures and Tables

  • Each figure/table must include a legend.

Supplementary datasets, protocols, extended methods, and video files may accompany the article.


Ethical Standards

Authors must ensure compliance with internationally accepted ethical guidelines for research involving human and animal subjects.
Manuscripts must include:

  • A statement of ethics committee approval (where applicable)

  • Confirmation of informed consent for studies involving humans

  • A declaration of competing interests

Open Access Charges

Longevity Horizon is a fully open access journal.
For non-student authors, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of $33.33 is required to support editorial and publication services.
